Before Certling existed, we spent more than 12 years working in the translation industry, mainly providing specialist translations for financial institutions and regulated sectors.

But every so often, someone very different would contact us.

A parent needing a birth certificate translated for immigration, a student applying to university abroad, or a family trying to complete visa paperwork before a deadline.

And we kept noticing the same thing.

People were already stressed and overwhelmed by official processes, yet the certified translation industry often made things feel far more complicated than they actually were. Confusing terminology, rigid pricing models, and requirements presented as mandatory when they often were not.

What surprised us most was how simple certified translation requirements actually are.

Every case is different. Every document is different. So why were people being forced into rigid pricing models that ignored this?

We believed there had to be a better way.

That eventually led to the creation of Certling.

Using document analysis and machine vision technology, Certling calculates pricing based on the actual content needing translation, helping applicants avoid paying for unnecessary pages or content.

Our goal is simple: to make certified translations fairer, more transparent, and easier to understand.
