Translation Requirements for IRCC
Certling makes certified translation for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) simple and secure.
What Needs to Be Translated
IRCC requires translations of documents that are not in English or French. These translations must reflect either the original document or a certified copy. Stamps and seals not in English or French must also be translated. A full reproduction is not required.
Certified Translator with Affidavit
Translations must be completed by a certified translator. Certling also offers a notarized affidavit swearing to the accuracy and the translator’s qualifications—selectable at checkout.
Certified Membership
Certling translators are members of the ATC and ATA. Each translation includes the required seal or membership number for official IRCC acceptance.
Strict Data Privacy
All documents are securely deleted from our servers two weeks after delivery. We handle sensitive information with the highest level of security.
Who Can Translate for IRCC?
Translations must not be completed by the applicant, their family members, or legal representatives. Certified translators must be:

Certified Translation for Immigration to Canada
If you're applying for immigration to Canada and your documents are not in English or French, you'll need certified translations that meet the specific standards of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). At Certling, we simplify the process by delivering certified translations that meet all IRCC requirements, quickly, securely, and with transparent pricing.
1. Certified Translation from Recognised Professionals
Translations must be completed by a certified translator who is a member of a professional translation body in the country where the translation is done.
2. Full Translation of All Content
IRCC does not accept partial translations or summaries. That’s why we translate the entire document, every word, stamp, seal, and signature, ensuring nothing is left out.
3. Submitted with the Original or Certified Copy
IRCC requires that translations be accompanied by the original document or a certified copy.
4. English or French Only
Canada accepts documents only in its two official languages. We provide certified translations into English that fully comply with IRCC standards.
5. High Standards of Accuracy and Presentation
We take care to ensure every translation is accurate, clear, and professionally formatted. Poor-quality or unclear translations can delay your immigration process, Certling helps you avoid this.
6. No Self-Translation
IRCC does not allow applicants or family members to translate their own documents, even if they are professional translators. Our impartial and independent translators ensure full compliance with this rule.
